Great Northern Insulation takes a scientific approach to your building’s energy efficiency. While every product we utilize reduces your carbon footprint and improves the efficiency of your home, we offer specialized products that have a lower embodied carbon, making them sustainable before they’re even installed. Cellulose insulation can be installed in wall cavities or ceilings as a dense-pack product or blown into an attic space for a high-performing insulation product that is made from 85% or greater locally recycled paper product.
Looking for something even more green? Great Northern Insulation now offers hemp insulation made and manufactured in Canada for an even more sustainable option.

Huntsman HEATLOK® SOYA HFO™
Heatlok® Soya HFOTM leverages Honeywell’s latest Solstice® Liquid Blowing Agent technology. This new hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) blowing agent is the most environmentally conscious blowing agent produced to date, with a zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) and a global warming potential (GWP) of 1, which is more than two orders of magnitude (99.9%) lower than HFCs used in this industry.
